Definition

A zero-click result is one where the user gets what they needed without visiting any source. In an answer-engine context this is the normal case rather than the exception, since the answer is the product.

Why it matters

It breaks the assumption that visibility shows up as sessions. A brand can be named to thousands of buyers and see no change in analytics, which is why measurement has to happen on the answer side.

How to measure it

Measure presence in answers directly and treat referral traffic as a secondary, lagging indicator rather than the proof that the work is landing.
