Getting a brand mentioned, cited and recommended in AI generative answers.
Why it matters
When an assistant answers a buying question, it usually names a handful of options and the buyer never sees a list of ten links. Being absent from that handful is not a lower ranking, it is not being in the consideration set at all.
How to measure it
Ask a fixed set of brand-free buyer questions to each assistant on a schedule, then record three separate things: whether the brand was named, whether it was actively recommended, and whether one of its URLs was cited. Averaging them into a single score hides which of the three is broken.
