Core capability

What Competitor Intelligence helps the team understand.

Compare share of voice and question-level outcomes without presenting AI visibility as a search ranking.

01

Share of voice

Compare how often each brand is named across the same measured questions.

02

Question head-to-head

See who wins each buyer question and in which model.

03

Answer context

Read the source answer before deciding why a competitor appeared.

Operating model

Keep every result connected to evidence and action.

The product explains the result, preserves its source context and makes the next review explicit.

01
Use the editable competitor setStart from onboarding suggestions and confirmed competitors.
02
Compare one question setShare of voice only makes sense inside the same measured sample.
03
Avoid unsupported causalityThe page shows observed outcomes, not a guaranteed reason for them.
Measurement rules

The rules competitor intelligence follows

A feature list is easy to copy; the rules behind the numbers are not. Each of these is enforced in the product, and most of them were added after getting it wrong once.

Rule Why it exists
Every brand the answer names is counted, not only the ones on your list.Matching your brand loosely and competitors only against a fixed list inflates your share by construction. Buyers are shown whatever the assistant names, including brands you have never heard of.
Spelling variants of one brand are resolved to one entity before counting.Casing, punctuation, legal suffixes and a product line named instead of the company each split one brand into several rows. Splitting a competitor understates it and flatters you; splitting your own brand understates you.
The total number of distinct brands is shown next to your share.Being 1% of 117 brands is a completely different situation from 1% of five, and the percentage alone cannot tell them apart.
Share of voice is withheld when the sample is too thin.A percentage computed from a handful of answers is noise wearing the costume of a signal. We would rather show nothing than a number that will swing on the next run.
Illustrative product evidence

FAQ

Questions about Competitor Intelligence

Does this feature run from the public website?

No. Marketing pages explain the capability. Formal data collection begins only after a user enters the App and confirms the project scope.

Can snapshot results become part of this workflow?

Yes. A valid snapshot can be claimed as an initial sample, while onboarding still confirms markets, competitors and the formal monitored question set.

Are all metrics comparable across AI engines?

Core answer states can be normalized, but citations, search assistance and answer formats still need engine-specific evidence.

How often is the data refreshed?

Measurement runs on the schedule your plan allows, and monitoring quota is shared at the account level. Alerts require two consecutive runs to confirm, so model sampling noise does not become a false alarm.

Can the original AI answer be inspected?

Yes. Every result drills down to the answer that produced it, question by question and model by model, together with the citations found in that answer.

What happens when a model is unavailable?

That run is marked partial rather than being silently filled in. The remaining engines still complete, and the gap stays visible in the result.
